More than 100 Eid Jamaat (congressional prayer) held at different mosques instead of Eidgah or field in Barishal city area this year on Monday morning under cloudy sky but without rainfall during Eid prayer.
Special arrangements taken in all the Eid-Jamaat premises for maintaining social distancing and following health regulations.
In the Eid jamaats prayers for safety, security, continuous development of the nation and country were offered, said Mawlana Nurur Rahman Beg, advisor of Metropolitan Imam Samity.
Units of different law enforcing agencies deployed to maintain social distance, safety, security and disciplines of the Eid jamaats, said Shahabuddin Ahmed, commissioner of Barishal Metropolitan Police.
At Barishal Collectorate Masjid high officials of district administration attended the Eid Jamaat held at 8:00 AM Monday.
The other main Eid Ul Fitr Jamaats in Barishal city held four times at Eabaidullah Masjid from 7:30 AM to 10-30 AM, three times at Kashai Masjid from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, two times at Baitul Mokarram, Steamer Ghat and Port Road Keramatia Masjid from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM Monday.
