Till this report on Thursday June 4, 2020 noon total 806 detected as corona positive, 159 cured after getting treatment and fifteen died of corona-infections in Barishal division.
Out of the 806 infected corona-positive patients 468 were from Barishal, 78 from Pirojpur, 77 from Barguna, 72 from Patuakhali, 58 from Jhalakathi, 53 from Bhola districts.
Among them 57 from five districts of Barishal division except Pirojpur detected as covid-19 infected within last 24-hours.
Dr. Basudev Kumar Das, divisional health director, disclosed these facts on Thursday afternoon.
Besides total fifteen including one from Kazipara of Barishal city, one from Kalaskathi, two from Muladi of Barishal, one from Mirzaganj, one from Sadar, one from Dumki, one from Galachipa of Patuakhali, one from Amtali and one from Betagi of Barguna, one from Nazirpur, one from Nesarabad of Pirojpur, one from Nalcity, one from Kathalia of Jhalakathi and one from Lalmohon of Bhola districts died of corona till this report, divisional health director added.
Divisional health directorate sources added that total 14,171 persons sent to home quarantine and 1044 to institutional quarantine in six districts of the division including Barishal City Corporation since March 10, 2020.
Among them 11,737 completing home quarantine and 794 completing institutional quarantine received release certificates.
Dr.Bakir Hossain, director Barishal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital, informed total 768 patients were admitted at corona isolation units at this and other public hospitals of the division and among them 341 released after getting treatment from there.
Out of the admitted patients at CIU of the hospitals total 41 were died and among them 7 were died with corona positive and other 34 with symptoms, he added. ##
