A police personal died with corona symptoms at Corona Isolation Unit (CIU) of Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH) on early Thursday.The dead victim was identified as Sohel Mahamud, 35, son of Malek Munshi of Pangasia village under Dumki Upazila of Patuakhali district.Nurul Islam, officer in Charge of Barishal Kotwali police station, said he was serving at Police Training and Welfare Department of Barishal Metropolitan Police (BMP).Dr. Bakir Hossain, Director of SBMCH said police constable Sohel was admitted at CIU of SBMCH at 9:00 PM on Wednesday with cough, breathing problem and fever. After 11:00 PM Wednesday, condition of the police personal Sohel deteriorated and at 12.30 AM of Thursday he succumbed to death.The test report of his corona symptoms yet not received from SBMCh PCR lab, he added. Till Wednesday 13 were newly detected as corona positive in Barishal district within last 24-hours.
