More than fifty-three lakh taka realized as fine for violating corona prevention regulations in Barishal district in last four months.
Media cell of district administration said from March 10 to 28th June, 2020 mobile court teams operated 417 drives in different areas of Barishal district including city corporation area.
During these drives total Tk. 53, 16, 185 realised as fine from 858 persons and 753 enterprises.
Besides fifty-seven persons jailed and 13 business enterprises fined for violating regulations imposed against corona prevention lockdown, sources added.
S M Ajiar Rahman, deputy commissioner Barishal, said these types of drives will continue for public interest till full remission of the covid-19 pandemic.
He also asked the mass people to create awareness against unnecessary roaming and always wearing mask to prevent spreading pandemic. ##
